In Line 4, enter the Medicaid waiver payment amounts excluded from income on Schedule 1, Line 8s, unless you choose to include these amounts in earned income. Part II-A: Additional Child Tax Credit for All Filers

If you meet all other requirements but the amount of tax you owe at the end of the year is either zero or an amount that’s less than the credit, you can’t claim the full Child Tax Credit of $2,000.
